QPR and Bristol City Play Out a Goalless Draw

QPR and Bristol City extended their unbeaten streaks with a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road. The Robins, now under the interim charge of Roy Hodgson, have not lost since his appointment and had won their first two matches under his guidance. QPR, meanwhile, remain unbeaten in five games and welcomed back Rumarn Burrell from a three-month injury layoff as a substitute. Bristol City had the better chances in the first half, with Scott Twine's half-volley being their best opportunity, but QPR's goalkeeper Joe Walsh made crucial saves to deny them. At the other end, QPR's Kieran Morgan and Richard Kone had attempts on goal, but neither could break the deadlock. After the interval, QPR head coach Julien Stephan made changes to his forward line, introducing Burrell and Daniel Bennie, but despite their efforts, the visitors' defense held firm. Bristol City have now kept two consecutive clean sheets under Hodgson, who has brought a sense of solidity and organization to the team. Both teams worked hard, but clear-cut chances were scarce in the closing stages. QPR's Stephan praised his team's effort, saying, 'The season is not finished, and I think the players showed that in their mindset today.' Bristol City's Hodgson noted, 'I thought the teams cancelled each other out, but we were a bit more adventurous in the second half, and the chances that were there went our way.'
