Jack Wilshere has achieved his first managerial triumph after Luton secured a 3-1 victory over Stockport in the Vertu Trophy final. The former Arsenal and England midfielder, a two-time FA Cup winner as a player, has won his first trophy in his debut season as a manager, thanks to goals from Emilio Lawrence and a double from Nahki Wells. An emotional Wilshere expressed that winning as a manager surpasses his experiences as a player, praising his senior players, including Wells, for their crucial role in the success. Wilshere also commended Wells, who had been an injury doubt before the game, for his leadership and energy.
