Usyk Trains Joshua to Overcome Fury: 'AJ Will Triumph'

Oleksandr Usyk has pledged to assist Anthony Joshua in defeating Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world champion who lost to the Ukrainian twice, has joined Usyk's training camp, and the two are working together. Usyk has welcomed Joshua into his team, stating, 'We support each other, work together, and have a great time. We were once rivals, but now we're friends.' As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion, Usyk is well-positioned to advise Joshua on how to take on Fury. 'I believe AJ will succeed in beating my friend Fury,' Usyk said. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that negotiations are progressing for a potential fight between Joshua and Fury later this year. Usyk may even be in Joshua's corner for the fight. Hearn noted that training with Usyk is already making a significant impact on Joshua, saying, 'The setup is incredible, and being around the best fighter in the sport is inspiring.' Usyk is currently preparing for his own fight against Rico Verhoeven on May 23 and is focused on defending his WBC title.
