Itoje Backs Borthwick to Lead England to Greatness

Maro Itoje has voiced his unwavering support for England head coach Steve Borthwick, emphasizing the team's potential to achieve remarkable success under his guidance, despite a dismal Six Nations campaign. England's tournament ended in disappointment, with four consecutive losses, including a historic defeat to Italy. However, RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney has indicated that Borthwick will be given the opportunity to lead the team in the upcoming Nations Championship. Itoje acknowledges that England fell short of expectations, having entered the tournament on a strong 11-match winning streak. Nevertheless, he believes in Borthwick and his coaching staff, stating, 'We believe in what we're doing.' Itoje expressed his confidence in the team, saying, 'I have a lot of faith, a lot of belief in this England team, and I think this England team is going to go on to do special things. It's just about us learning the lessons and moving forward.'
