England's Jones and Bern Identify Areas for Improvement Following Convincing Win

England's Megan Jones and Sarah Bern have acknowledged that there is still room for improvement despite their team's convincing 33-12 victory over Ireland in the Women's Six Nations. The win marked England's 34th consecutive Test victory, with two tries from Bern and one each from Amy Cockayne, Jess Breach, and Ellie Kildunne. Jones, who led the team for the first time in the absence of World Cup-winning captain Zoe Stratford, accepted that England did not perform at their best. "Naturally, there were going to be nerves at the start of a major campaign following a remarkable World Cup," Jones stated. "We aspired to play in front of large crowds, which is exactly what we achieved today. We found a way to win, which is what winning teams do. I'm sure we'll refine our performance, but I'm incredibly proud of the team." Jones reflected on the experience of leading the side, saying, "I'll probably take some time to reflect on it tonight. Walking out of the tunnel was incredible, seeing everyone and singing the anthem." Bern noted that with a new combination of players, including several youngsters, it was unrealistic to expect a flawless performance. "We knew it wouldn't be perfect, and we didn't expect it to be," Bern said. "There were aspects that we were pleased with, and others that we'll definitely review. However, the atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic, and that always helps us get the job done."
