Tottenham's Relegation Fears Intensify After Disappointing Loss

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed his concern that Tottenham Hotspur may be relegated to the Championship after their dismal performance in Roberto De Zerbi's first game in charge. The team created just 0.15 worth of Expected Goals in the second half against Sunderland and failed to score, with Carragher believing they have 'no chance' of beating even the Premier League's bottom club away from home. Gary Neville also shared his thoughts, saying any relegation for Tottenham would be a 'monstrous moment' and 'unthinkable'. Neville added, 'It's as interesting as the title race... The Spurs question - can they go down? Will they go down? Is this the biggest club that's ever gone down in Premier League history?' Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara ranked Spurs' chances of Premier League survival at just '10 per cent', saying, 'They have not won this year... Where are the points coming from? They need seven or eight points. Where are they coming from? I don't see it.' De Zerbi reacted after the game, saying Spurs have to be stronger as they are in a 'bad moment', but one win would change their season. He stated, 'We have to be stronger... We have to react with enthusiasm, the right spirit. They showed that today... What we have to do is just work, just transfer what I think.'
