Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing. Jamesieconn, seeking a fourth straight victory, will compete in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. This seven-year-old has demonstrated a preference for three-mile distances and good ground, as seen in his recent win at Carlisle, and will now face a 5lb increase to a mark of 100. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various hurdle races, bumper, and chase events across 18 starts, is yet to secure a win and remains at a mark of 97. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will look to build on his recent performance behind Scottish King over the same course and distance. Nicky Richards will also enter Young Getaway in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, marking the horse's chasing debut. That One, who previously defeated Young Getaway, will also make his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore partnership will field Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having shown consistency in recent starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success in the past, following a defeat at Wolverhampton. Other notable entries include Wicket Keeper, Paddy's Day, and Albasheer, while Gardener will compete in the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle.
