Hollie Doyle's Blog: Gaining Insights into Derby Prospect Wareeth
This week, Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle will be in action at Newmarket's Craven meeting, with a notable ride on the promising Derby contender Wareeth in the Listed Feilden Stakes. On Wednesday, Wareeth, trained by Archie Watson, will take a significant step up in class in the Feilden Stakes, following an impressive 14-length victory in his novice race over 1m at Newcastle. Although Wareeth doesn't currently hold a Derby entry, his performance has been delightful since his racecourse debut. His upcoming run will provide valuable insight into his potential. Wareeth will face stiff competition, including Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, who boasts experience with a maiden win at Goodwood and a promising fourth place in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Isaac Newton holds a Derby entry and has an official rating of 106. Another contender, Poseidon's Warrior, trained by Godolphin, will also be making the leap from novice company. All three colts are entered in the traditional Derby trial, the Group 2 Dante at York. Additionally, Hollie Doyle will ride ZOULU CHIEF in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap, expecting a strong performance from the sprinter. She has also ridden work on Jane Chapple-Hyam's HARLEQUIN BREEZE, who will participate in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes, and believes the outsider is worth her place. IMPOSSIBLE MISSION will need to prove his turf capabilities when receiving weight from his rivals in the National Stud Handicap. LADY FIZZ, a debutant, will face fillies from prominent yards in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. On Thursday, Hollie Doyle will ride PRINCE OF INDIA in the Zyn Abernant Stakes and is looking forward to it. She also anticipates a strong performance from Hawk Mountain in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes, a potential Derby contender.
