Ben Woolliss Set for Sky Sports Return After Electrifying ONE Debut
Following his sensational debut in the ONE Championship, Britain's Ben Woolliss is scheduled to make his return on May 16, with the event broadcast live on Sky Sports. Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing match at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. This matchup will see Woolliss, who has overcome long-term health issues, take on a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion. The Grimsby native made his promotional debut last month, stepping in on short notice to defeat former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in a featherweight kickboxing bout. Woolliss secured a stunning one-round stoppage victory over Lineker, utilizing damaging low kicks to take down his opponent. The main event on May 16 will feature Chinese star Tang Kai as he defends his ONE featherweight MMA world title against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. Gasanov boasts a near-flawless record, with a strong stand-up game, grappling skills, and submission expertise, making him a formidable opponent for Kai.
