Carragher: Liverpool's Tactical Approach Was Catastrophically Wrong

According to Jamie Carragher, Liverpool's manager Arne Slot made a huge tactical mistake in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, which led to a 2-0 defeat. Carragher stated that Slot's decision to switch to a back five and use man-to-man marking exposed Virgil van Dijk and left the team vulnerable to PSG's attacks. The former Liverpool defender believes that Van Dijk will be urging Slot to never use this system again due to the difficulties he faced during the match. Carragher also praised PSG's performance, likening it to Pep Guardiola's Barcelona. Meanwhile, Slot acknowledged that Liverpool were fortunate not to have lost by a bigger margin and expressed relief that the tie is still alive ahead of the second leg at Anfield.
