Double Injury Setback for England in Women's Six Nations
England's Women's Six Nations campaign has been dealt a significant blow with the loss of Morwenna Talling and Natasha Hunt to injury. The pair sustained leg injuries during England's 33-12 victory over Ireland at Allianz Stadium, with Talling being forced off after 43 minutes and Hunt lasting just 13 minutes after coming on as a substitute. This latest setback means that England will be without Talling, a key lock, for the remainder of the tournament, adding to the absence of Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan, all of whom have withdrawn due to pregnancy. According to England head coach John Mitchell, the team may have to rely on back-rowers to fill the gaps, saying: "With the loss of four international locks, we may end up with a team of back-rowers by the end of the competition. However, we will adapt and find a way to make it work." Talling and Hunt will remain with the England squad to see specialists before undergoing rehabilitation at their respective clubs. The RFU has confirmed that Sydney Gregson and uncapped player Haidee Head have joined the squad to prepare for the upcoming match against Scotland at Murrayfield.
