The tournament, which has a rich history dating back to 1927, will feature 32 players competing in the first round, with the top 16 seeds being drawn at random against the 16 players who emerge from the qualifying rounds. The event will also see the introduction of significant bonuses for maximum breaks, including a £40,000 prize for the highest break in the main stage and an additional £147,000 bonus for any player who achieves two maximum breaks across the Triple Crown events and the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters.
