Billam-Smith Sets Sights on Opetaia After Joining Zuffa

Following his signing with Zuffa Boxing, Chris Billam-Smith is eager to face Jai Opetaia, aiming to solidify his position as the world's best. Billam-Smith, a former WBO cruiserweight world champion, will now compete live on Sky Sports. Having lost his title to Gilberto Ramirez, he bounced back with a win over Brandon Glanton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Opetaia, also a Zuffa fighter, recently became the inaugural Zuffa world cruiserweight champion with a unanimous decision victory over Glanton. Billam-Smith expressed his desire to fight Opetaia, citing their shared promoter and his goal to prove himself as the best in the world by beating the best. With a multi-fight deal with Zuffa, Billam-Smith has been in training camp since January and is looking to announce his next fight soon, with the hope of competing in the UK and his hometown of Bournemouth.
