Fury Challenges Joshua to Ditch Wilder and Commit to Blockbuster Fight

Tyson Fury is calling on Anthony Joshua to put aside the possibility of a Deontay Wilder bout and focus on their highly anticipated showdown. The two former world champions have a long-standing rivalry, and Fury believes their mega-fight should take place as soon as possible. He stated, 'I don't think AJ should have a tune-up bout. We should get this fight on immediately, in case something unexpected happens in the interim.' Fury emphasized that their fight has been postponed multiple times over the past decade due to various reasons. 'So many times, that fight was supposed to happen, but they thought, 'We'll just have one more fight in between.' Something always goes wrong, whether it's an injury or something else.' Fury is set to fight Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, while Joshua last boxed in December against Jake Paul. Fury declared, 'You've had your warm-up fight in December, and I'm having one now. I've been out of the ring for 16 months, so let's do it – let's dance.' He urged Joshua to forget about Wilder, saying, 'The man is a shadow of his former self; it's sad to see. Forget about anybody else. Let me get through Saturday night, and we'll make the fight happen this year. I couldn't be fairer than that.' Fury acknowledged the unpredictability of heavyweight boxing, where 'anything can go wrong, and there are no easy fights.' He expressed his desire to face Joshua next, saying, 'I want the fight next, and I'm sure AJ will feel the same. But first, I have to deal with Arslanbek, and then we'll sort everything out afterwards.'
