Hull FC Exit Leaves Cartwright Feeling Betrayed

Former Hull FC head coach John Cartwright expressed his disappointment and sense of betrayal after the club confirmed his departure without providing a clear explanation. Cartwright's exit was announced on April 7, and despite his efforts to understand the decision, he has yet to receive a reason for the termination of his contract. In an interview, Cartwright stated that he feels "betrayed and disrespected" by the club's actions, which came as a surprise to him. He had been leading the team since the start of the 2025 campaign and had achieved a seventh-placed finish, the club's highest since 2020. Although his tenure is set to end, Cartwright has assured that he will continue to fulfill his duties and maintain his loyalty to the players.
