Monday's Racing Highlights: Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to field three runners at Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth straight victory, will be among the contenders in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase for the in-form Richards team. Having previously shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, Jamesieconn will be ridden by Danny McMenamin and will face a 5lbs weight increase, now marked at 100. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various hurdle and chase events, is still yet to secure a win and will be competing off a mark of 97. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd, who has seen a level-stakes profit of +298 over the past fortnight, will be represented by Rightbackatyou. Nicky Richards will also be sending out Young Getaway to make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. That One, another contender, will be making his first appearance over fences after a previous defeat. Other notable entries include the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination with Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, as well as Grant Wood, who returns to Gosforth Park, a course where he has enjoyed significant success. Wicket Keeper, Paddy's Day, and Albasheer will also be participating, with the latter being ridden by Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. The day's events will conclude with the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle, where Gardener is set to return.
