Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to resign from his position as head coach of Catalans Dragons, citing personal reasons. Tomkins, who held the role for nearly a year, found it challenging to be away from his family and made the decision to leave after a recent period at home. Initially, he took on the role as an interim coach but was soon appointed permanently. Tomkins expressed his gratitude to the club, stating that his time at Catalans has been valuable, and he has learned a great deal as a rookie head coach. However, he found it difficult to be away from his family for an extended period. Following his departure, Ryan Sheridan will take over as interim head coach, assisted by Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, with their first game on April 18 against the Warrington Wolves.
