Neither Russell nor his teammate has managed to take the lead after the opening lap, but the team's pace has been sufficient to bounce back and secure wins. Ferrari, on the other hand, has been the most successful starter so far, thanks to their compact turbo, which enables quicker spin-up times and makes it easier to find the perfect launch window. Russell emphasized that, although opportunities to practice starts are limited, the team has been focusing on analyzing data to address their weakness. 'A lot is happening behind the scenes,' Russell stated, highlighting the team's efforts to improve through simulator analysis and data review. Mercedes is looking to make significant strides in this area, particularly with the upcoming Sprint races in Miami and Montreal.
