QPR and Bristol City Draw a Blank

Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City maintained their undefeated streaks with a 0-0 draw. The Robins, under interim manager Roy Hodgson, have not lost since his appointment and have won their first two matches. QPR, meanwhile, are unbeaten in five games and welcomed back Rumarn Burrell from injury. Bristol City had the better chances in the first half, with Scott Twine and Mark Sykes testing QPR goalkeeper Joe Walsh. At the other end, Kieran Morgan and Richard Kone had opportunities for QPR. In the second half, Walsh made another save from Twine, while Paul Smyth shot wide for QPR. QPR head coach Julien Stephan changed his forward line, bringing on Burrell and Daniel Bennie, but they were unable to break down the Bristol City defense. The visitors have kept consecutive clean sheets under Hodgson and looked solid. Both teams worked hard, but there were few clear-cut chances in the closing stages. QPR's Stephan praised his team's effort, saying they showed they still have something to play for. Bristol City's Hodgson thought the teams canceled each other out, but was pleased with his team's improved performance in the second half.
