AJ Refuses to Commit to Fury Showdown After Being Called Out

Anthony Joshua has stated that he will likely face Tyson Fury next, but he refused to commit to the highly anticipated British heavyweight bout after being called out by his rival. However, Joshua remained non-committal, stating that he will not be dictated to and will only agree to the fight through official contract negotiations. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, also refused to engage in discussions in the ring, instead opting for formal negotiations. The proposed bout between Joshua and Fury, two of the greatest heavyweights of their generation, has been in the works for years but has yet to materialize. In 2021, the two fighters agreed to fight for the undisputed heavyweight champion title, but the bout was cancelled after Deontay Wilder exercised a rematch clause. Joshua has expressed his desire to face Fury, but he is unwilling to rush into the fight and will only agree to it once the terms and conditions have been formally agreed upon.
