Hamilton's Revival: Mansell Sees a Rejuvenated Champion

According to Nigel Mansell, a former Formula 1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton has regained his momentum this season. Hamilton recently ended a 16-month drought without an F1 podium by finishing third at the Chinese Grand Prix, marking his first rostrum finish since joining Ferrari in 2025. The 41-year-old has also been more competitive with his teammate Charles Leclerc in terms of pace, having struggled with the previous generation of F1 cars. Mansell believes the new regulations suit Hamilton's driving style and doesn't rule out the possibility of him winning a race this season. "Lewis is fired up again, and it's fantastic to see him performing at this level," Mansell told Sky Sports News. Hamilton attributes his return to form to better preparation and the fact that Ferrari has done a great job over the winter. He also feels that the new car is more suited to his driving style, having had input in its development. Mansell thinks that if Mercedes can maintain their advantage, the championship could become a two-horse race between George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, giving them a chance to become world champion. To succeed, Mansell advises Russell to use his experience and focus to win the intra-team battle.
