Bournemouth Shortlists Candidates to Replace Outgoing Manager Andoni Iraola

Marco Rose is reportedly the top contender for the vacant Bournemouth position. The club has compiled a shortlist of three potential candidates to succeed Andoni Iraola, which includes Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna. Bournemouth aims to appoint Iraola's replacement swiftly, following the confirmation of his departure at the end of his contract. Rose, who was dismissed by RB Leipzig in March 2025, is currently available and has previous experience in the Champions League. Meanwhile, McKenna is still focused on securing promotion to the Premier League with Ipswich. Although Inigo Perez, Iraola's former assistant, is admired by the club, he is not currently on the shortlist. Iraola will leave Bournemouth after a successful three-year tenure, during which he guided the team to a ninth-placed finish in the Premier League and set a new club-record points tally. The club had been attempting to negotiate a new contract with Iraola, but ultimately accepted his decision to leave. With Iraola's contract expiring in the summer, the club is eager to find his replacement and begin planning for the next season, which may include European competition.
