Double Injury Setback for England in Women's Six Nations
England's Women's Six Nations campaign has been dealt a significant blow with the loss of Morwenna Talling and Natasha Hunt due to injury. The pair sustained leg injuries during the team's 33-12 victory over Ireland at Allianz Stadium, with Talling being forced off after 43 minutes and Hunt lasting just 13 minutes after coming on as a substitute. This latest setback means that Talling joins a growing list of absent locks, following the withdrawal of Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan due to pregnancy. England head coach John Mitchell remains optimistic, stating: "With the loss of four international locks, we may have to rely on our back-rowers, but we will adapt and make it work." Talling and Hunt will remain with the England squad to consult with specialists before beginning their rehabilitation at their respective clubs. In response to the injuries, the RFU has confirmed that Sydney Gregson and uncapped player Haidee Head have joined the squad ahead of the upcoming match against Scotland at Murrayfield.
