Player sympathized with Woods' ongoing pain but emphasized the importance of prioritizing his safety, particularly when it comes to driving. 'If I or anyone in this room had to endure the kind of pain Tiger Woods has been experiencing for a long time, we would understand his situation,' Player stated. He advised Woods to consider hiring a chauffeur to avoid driving while taking medication. Nicklaus also sent a message of support, encouraging Woods to take the time he needs to recover and return to the sport when he is ready. Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley expressed the organization's support for Woods' decision to focus on his health and well-being.
