Fury Weighs in Lighter for Makhmudov Showdown

Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov stepped onto the scales ahead of their highly anticipated heavyweight bout at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This marks Fury's first fight since his loss to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. After a brief retirement, Fury is returning to the ring at 37, and his condition and form will be under close scrutiny. He weighed in at 267.9lbs, a decrease from the 281lbs he weighed during his rematch against Usyk, albeit with clothes on. Fury expressed that training gets more challenging with age, saying, "It gets a little bit harder each time in camp... Still got plenty in the tank. After another four or five retirements, I should be good." He emphasized his priority is to beat Makhmudov and then target the belt holders. Makhmudov, a seasoned heavyweight contender with a knockout ratio of over 90%, looked formidable at 264.9lbs. He stated, "I'm ready to go, I'm ready to make my story happen, make my dream happen... For this fight, I'm ready for 12 or 20 rounds, no problem." In other weigh-ins, Conor Benn came in at 149.5lbs for his catchweight fight against Regis Prograis, who weighed 148.1lbs. Benn noted, "I've been putting middleweights over in the gym. I'm excited to be fighting somebody my own size for once." Prograis, a two-time world champion, believes he's the better fighter, saying, "I think it comes down to levels... I don't take anything away from Conor Benn, but I do think I'm the better fighter." Richard Riakporhe weighed in at 234.12lbs for his British heavyweight title fight against Jeamie 'TKV' Tshikeva, who was 262.7lbs. Frazer Clarke, seeking a comeback win, weighed in at 259.12lbs for his fight against Justis Huni, who was 246.14lbs.
