Tottenham's Relegation Fears Grow After Disappointing Loss

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Tottenham Hotspur are at risk of being relegated to the Championship after a dismal performance in their 1-0 loss to Sunderland. The defeat leaves Spurs in the relegation zone with six games remaining, two points behind West Ham in 17th place. Carragher stated, 'I just can't believe it. Tottenham look like they're going down.' He also expressed concerns that the team's remaining fixtures, including matches against fellow relegation-threatened teams Wolves and Leeds, may not yield the necessary points to secure their survival. Gary Neville echoed similar sentiments, calling a potential Tottenham relegation a 'monstrous moment' and 'unthinkable.' Neville noted that while it could demonstrate the competitiveness of the Premier League, it would be a significant blow to the club. Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara was also critical, ranking the team's chances of survival at just 10% and stating that manager Roberto De Zerbi cannot work 'miracles' with the current squad. O'Hara expressed disappointment with the team's performance, saying, 'They did absolutely nothing, offered nothing.' De Zerbi, however, remains optimistic, emphasizing the need for his team to be stronger and react with enthusiasm and the right spirit. He believes that one win could change the course of their season, saying, 'We have to work on one win. With one win, we can change everything this season.'
