Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is sending three horses to compete in the National Hunt events at Hexham on Monday. Jamesieconn, seeking a fourth consecutive victory, will participate in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. This seven-year-old has shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground, having won at Carlisle recently and been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100. Despite the added weight, Jamesieconn may still rise to the challenge under Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad has placed in various events but is yet to secure a win, currently racing off a mark of 97. Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will also compete, having shown promise over this course and distance recently. Nicky Richards will also enter Young Getaway in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, attempting to continue his remarkable winning streak. That One, making his debut over fences, will reoppose Young Getaway. Other notable competitors include Grant Wood, returning to his successful track at Gosforth Park, and Wicket Keeper, who has been successful twice over six furlongs. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination will field two runners, Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having been ultra-consistent in recent starts.
