Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing. Jamesieconn will be seeking a fourth straight victory for Richards' team, which has been on a remarkable run this spring. The seven-year-old previously demonstrated a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle, and has since been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100. Despite the added weight, it wouldn't be surprising to see Danny McMenamin's mount rise to the challenge once again. Streamsforth Lad, meanwhile, has placed in two hurdle races, a bumper, and a chase across his 18 starts but is yet to secure a win. He remains at a mark of 97, having shown improvement when finishing behind Three Zambezi's at Bangor. Stuart Coltherd, who has achieved a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks, will be represented by Rightbackatyou, who was the best of the rest behind Scottish King over this course and distance recently. Nicky Richards will also be sending out Young Getaway to attempt to continue his remarkable run in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. This will be the horse's chasing debut, a year after being defeated over the smaller obstacles by That One, who will also be making his bow over fences. That One was well beaten last time out at Newcastle for James Walton, but Jack Power's 5lbs claim could prove useful, effectively bringing the seven-year-old's mark down to 105. Other contenders include Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, fielded by the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination, with the former having been ultra-consistent of late. The Paul Midgley-trained Grant Wood returns to Gosforth Park, where he has been successful on his two recent visits, while Wicket Keeper has been successful twice over six furlongs but finished just over two lengths behind Power Fizz when fourth of 14 at 33-1 on his latest outing over this course and distance last month.
