Ben Woolliss Set for Sky Sports Return After Electrifying ONE Debut

Following his remarkable debut in ONE Championship, Britain's Ben Woolliss is scheduled to return to the ring on May 16, with the event being broadcast live on Sky Sports. Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing match at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand, which will be aired on Sky Sports in the early hours of Saturday, May 16. This upcoming bout on ONE Fight Night 43 will see Woolliss pitted against a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion, Petchfergus. Despite battling long-term health issues, Woolliss, hailing from Grimsby, recently signed with ONE and made his promotional debut just last month. On short notice of nine days, he accepted his first assignment, taking on former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in a featherweight kickboxing match. Lineker is notorious for his formidable punching power, but Woolliss secured a spectacular one-round stoppage victory, defeating "Hands of Stone" with a series of damaging low kicks. The main event on May 16 will feature Chinese star Tang Kai as he makes his second title defence of the ONE featherweight MMA world championship against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. Tang Kai has dominated every featherweight MMA opponent, while Gasanov boasts a near-flawless record, leveraging his potent stand-up arsenal, grappling prowess, and submission expertise to overwhelm his competition. After avenging his only career loss, "The Cobra" is poised to strike, potentially proving unstoppable.
