Andoni Iraola Set to Depart Bournemouth as Club Shortlists Three Potential Replacements

Bournemouth's head coach Andoni Iraola has announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the season. With six remaining games, Iraola will conclude a record-breaking three-year tenure on the south coast. Despite numerous offers to extend his contract, Iraola has chosen to step down, citing it as the right moment for his departure. Former RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund manager Marco Rose is among the three candidates shortlisted to succeed Iraola. The club had been engaged in talks with Iraola over a potential contract extension for over 15 months but were unable to persuade him to stay. Iraola's final home game will be against Manchester City on May 17, followed by a trip to Nottingham Forest on the last day of the Premier League season. Bournemouth is currently 11th in the Premier League table and still has a chance to secure European qualification. Iraola's departure has sparked interest from other clubs, with Athletic Club expressing interest in bringing him back to the Basque Country. Other clubs, such as Crystal Palace and Tottenham, had also considered Iraola as a potential replacement for their head coaches. Manchester United and Newcastle are also speculated to be potential destinations for Iraola, although no decisions have been made yet.
