Usyk Trains Joshua to Take Down Fury: 'AJ is Capable of Winning'
Oleksandr Usyk has pledged to support Anthony Joshua in his bid to defeat Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world champion who lost to Usyk twice, has joined forces with the undefeated, unified heavyweight champion. Usyk has extended a warm welcome to Joshua, stating, 'We assist each other, work together, and share laughs - it's a wonderful experience. Previously, we were rivals, but now we're friends.' As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion who has beaten Fury twice, Usyk is the ideal mentor to guide Joshua in his pursuit of victory against the former two-time heavyweight champion. 'I believe AJ can do it and beat my friend Tyson Fury,' Usyk declared. Negotiations for an all-British heavyweight showdown between Joshua and Fury are progressing, according to Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn. Usyk might even be in Joshua's corner for the highly anticipated fight. Hearn revealed that training with Usyk has already made a significant impact on Joshua, saying, 'The setup is incredible, and being around the best fighter in the sport is truly inspiring.' Usyk is currently preparing for his own title defense against Rico Verhoeven on May 23 and remains focused on the task at hand, stating, 'For me, it's just another fight - I'm a master boxer.'
