Garnacho Reflects on Manchester United Departure, Admits Past Mistakes

Alejandro Garnacho has spoken candidly about his departure from Manchester United, acknowledging that he made mistakes during his final six months at the club. Garnacho's £40m transfer to Chelsea last summer followed a pre-season where he was not part of Ruben Amorim's first-team plans. Prior to his exit, Garnacho was spotted wearing an Aston Villa jersey with Marcus Rashford's name, sparking controversy. After United's Europa League final loss to Tottenham, Garnacho's brother claimed he had been unfairly treated by Amorim. Garnacho expressed some regret over his exit, stating, 'Maybe yes, because I loved that club. They gave me confidence from the start.' He reflected on his time at United, 'In the last six months, I was not playing like before. I started to be on the bench, which isn't a bad thing, but in my mind, I felt I had to play every game.' Garnacho took responsibility for his actions, saying, 'Maybe it's also on me, I started to do some bad things.' Despite this, he is proud to be at Chelsea and remains in the Premier League.
