Following his victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov, Fury has already signed on for the all-British clash and has issued a challenge to Joshua. However, Joshua has yet to commit to the fight due to his involvement in a car accident in Nigeria that resulted in the deaths of his friends. Promoter Eddie Hearn stated that they are reviewing the contract and want to ensure Joshua is ready for his return to the ring. Hearn expects Joshua to return to the ring in July, with a potential fight against Deontay Wilder, before facing Fury in November. Wilder has expressed interest in fighting Joshua, and Hearn is open to the possibility of Joshua facing both Wilder and Fury back-to-back.
