Rangers Footballer Dujon Sterling Appears in Court Over Alleged Drunk Driving Incident

Dujon Sterling, a 26-year-old Rangers player, has made a court appearance to face charges of reckless and intoxicated driving. The allegations against him include speeding excessively through Glasgow City Centre on January 4 and putting other road users at risk by driving erratically and losing control of his vehicle. In addition to the charge of reckless driving, Sterling also faces a count of driving under the influence on the same date. Notably, Sterling had participated in a match against Celtic the day before, which Rangers won 3-1. According to the allegations, Sterling had 60 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 22 micrograms per 100 milliliters. During his appearance at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Sterling did not enter a plea. The case has been continued by Sheriff Jonathan Guy to a subsequent hearing scheduled for May 5 at the same court.
