Usyk Trains Joshua to Overcome Fury: 'AJ is Capable of Winning'

Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is guiding Anthony Joshua in his bid to defeat Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world titlist who has lost to Usyk twice, has joined forces with the Ukrainian's training team. Usyk has expressed his enthusiasm for their collaboration, stating that they are helping each other and having a great time. As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion who has beaten Fury twice, Usyk is well-positioned to advise Joshua on how to take on the former two-time heavyweight champion. 'I believe AJ can do it and beat my friend Fury,' Usyk said. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that negotiations are progressing for a potential fight between Joshua and Fury later this year. Usyk may even be in Joshua's corner for the fight. Hearn noted that training with Usyk is already making a significant impact on Joshua, saying, 'Being around the best fighter in the sport is incredible, and he loves it.' Usyk is currently preparing for his own fight against Rico Verhoeven on May 23, where he will put his WBC title on the line.
