Robson's Grueling London Marathon Prep: From Melbourne to Miami

Laura Robson, a renowned Sky Sports Tennis presenter, has been undertaking rigorous training for the London Marathon, splitting her time between locations like Melbourne, Milan Cortina, and Miami. As she prepares to tackle the 26.2-mile course, Robson reflects on the difficulties of her training regimen, which has seen her run in diverse conditions, from the scorching heat of Melbourne to the freezing temperatures of the Winter Olympics. Now back in the UK, Robson is focused on the final stretch of her preparation, aiming to achieve a sub-3:40 finish. She admits that her motivation has waned slightly since returning home, but she's determined to push through and complete the marathon. Robson has been fueling her training with a carb-rich diet and staying hydrated with electrolytes. She's also been seeking advice from fellow athletes on maintaining a consistent pace. Although she's had to complete many of her runs solo due to work commitments, Robson is looking forward to the electric atmosphere of the London Marathon and the sense of accomplishment that comes with crossing the finish line. She's running in support of the Give It Your Max charity, which provides free tennis lessons and support to children in schools.
