Fury Vows to Make a Statement Against Makhmudov

Tyson Fury was swept off his feet by Arslanbek Makhmudov in a bear hug at their final press conference, but he took it in stride. Fury, who is determined to become a three-time world champion, will face Makhmudov this weekend in the first stage of his mission to reclaim a world title. After a brief retirement, Fury is back in the ring, eager to prove himself as the top man in his division. "For the first time in a long time, I'm the hunter, not the hunted," he declared. Fury believes he will eventually target the belts held by Oleksandr Usyk and Fabio Wardley, saying, "Sooner or later, they'll all have to fight me." At 37 years old, Fury will have to defy those who doubt his ability to make a comeback. He cautions that he can't take Makhmudov lightly, saying, "Give this man his respect... I've never overlooked anybody in my life, and I've definitely not overlooked this beast." Fury's confidence in himself remains unwavering, saying, "I feel sorry for Arslanbek Makhmudov... I'm going to make an example of him."
