Thomas Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Rape Allegations
Ex-Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey has entered not guilty pleas to two fresh allegations of rape. The 32-year-old midfielder appeared in court to deny raping a woman in London in December 2020. This development follows previous charges of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, which date back to 2021 and 2022, to which he also pleaded not guilty. A trial is scheduled for later this year, but it may be postponed until January next year due to the new allegations. Partey, who now plays for Villarreal, is accused by four different women and has been released on bail with the condition that he does not contact the alleged victims. His case is set to be heard in court again on May 14 for a pre-trial hearing, with a decision on the exact trial date to be made once the judge is confirmed.
