Nicky Richards Aims for Continued Success at Hexham with Trio of Runners

Following an impressive eight-win streak, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing. Jamesieconn will be competing in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, seeking a fourth consecutive win for the in-form Richards team, which has enjoyed a remarkable spring period with eight straight victories. This seven-year-old previously demonstrated a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle, and although he has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100, he may still rise to the challenge with Danny McMenamin on board. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various events, is yet to secure a win and will be looking to change this, while Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will attempt to build on his recent performance. Nicky Richards will also be entering Young Getaway in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, as he seeks to extend his remarkable winning streak. That One will be making his chasing debut, a year after being defeated over hurdles, and will be joined by other notable competitors, including Hollie Doyle's mount Albasheer and the consistent Heads Or Harps. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, will return to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed significant success, while Wicket Keeper and Paddy's Day will also be competing in various events throughout the day.
