Joshua Set to Face Fury, But a July Warm-Up Bout May Come First

Anthony Joshua is poised to sign a contract for a highly anticipated showdown with Tyson Fury, although he may first participate in a warm-up fight in July before the potential November clash with his British rival. Fury has already committed to the all-British mega fight and recently issued a challenge to Joshua following his victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov. However, Joshua has yet to confirm his participation in the Fury fight, partly due to speculation about a possible warm-up bout in July. This comes after Joshua was involved in a serious car accident in Nigeria, resulting in the tragic loss of his friends. Promoter Eddie Hearn stated that Joshua is nearing full recovery and expects him to return to the ring in July, with the possibility of facing Deontay Wilder before taking on Fury. Hearn expressed interest in exploring the option of Joshua facing Wilder and Fury back-to-back, although Wilder's camp claims that no discussions have taken place.
