McIlroy's Masters Grouping Announced, Scheffler to Play with MacIntyre
Rory McIlroy will be joined by Cameron Young and amateur Mason Howell in the first two rounds of his Masters title defense. Having achieved the career Grand Slam with his dramatic playoff victory at Augusta National last year, McIlroy is now aiming to become the fourth player in history to secure consecutive Masters wins. He will tee off at 10:31 am local time, alongside Young, who seeks to become the third player to win both The Players and The Masters in the same season. The youngest player in the field, Howell, completes the trio, following the tradition of pairing the previous year's winner with the reigning US Amateur champion. World No 1 Scottie Scheffler is on the opposite side of the draw, playing alongside Scotland's Bob MacIntyre and former US Open champion Gary Woodland. A total of 91 players are set to compete in the opening major of the year.
