'If I or anyone in this room had to endure the excruciating pain that Tiger Woods has been going through, we would understand his situation better,' Player said. He advised Woods to consider hiring a chauffeur to avoid driving while taking medication. Nicklaus also shared a message of support, encouraging Woods to take the time he needs to recover and return to the sport when he is ready. Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley expressed the organization's support for Woods' decision to focus on his health and well-being. Woods has played in only a handful of tournaments since November 2020 and has been working towards a competitive comeback from injury.
