Doku Sounds Warning to Arsenal: 'Title Race is On'

Manchester City's Jeremy Doku has sent a strong message to league leaders Arsenal, stating that the 'title race is on' ahead of their highly anticipated match at the Etihad next weekend. Following City's impressive 3-0 win over Chelsea, Doku expressed his confidence in his team's chances, saying, 'I would be crazy if I didn't believe. I believe the race is on.' With City now just six points behind Arsenal and having a game in hand, Doku emphasized the importance of their upcoming match, stating, 'If we win, it's a big punch towards them. If we lose, it's in their hands and we have to wait for them to lose.' City manager Pep Guardiola also shared his thoughts, recalling how his team was considered the underdog ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal last month. However, City went on to win the match 2-0 and has since thrashed Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup. Guardiola acknowledged Arsenal's quality, saying, 'They have been the best team in this country, in Europe, so far. Beating Arsenal once is so difficult, imagine beating them twice in a few weeks.' With City now out of the Champions League, Guardiola believes his team can focus on the Premier League, saying, 'We are growing. We have long weeks now... We are more fresh, in training, everyone knows exactly what they have to do.'
