Augusta National Golf Tournament: Final Standings

The final leaderboard for the Masters golf tournament, the first major of the year, which took place at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. Rory McIlroy successfully defended his title, making history by becoming the first player to do so since Tiger Woods, after winning last year's playoff against Justin Rose to complete his career Grand Slam. Despite being the pre-tournament favorite, world number one Scottie Scheffler was narrowly beaten by McIlroy, who finished one stroke ahead of him. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley tied for third place, while Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns shared seventh position, and Max Homa and Xander Schauffele rounded out the top ten. The Masters, with 91 players participating, marked the beginning of four consecutive months of men's golf majors, followed by the PGA Championship, the US Open, and The Open. Following this, the PGA Tour will head to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, with Justin Thomas returning to defend his title.
