Laura Robson's Grueling London Marathon Prep: A Journey from Melbourne to Miami
Former British tennis star Laura Robson has been globe-trotting for work, but she's also been fitting in intense training for the London Marathon. From the scorching heat of Melbourne to the freezing cold of Milan Cortina and the unpredictable weather of Miami, Robson has been pushing her limits to prepare for the 26.2-mile race. Now back in the UK, she's gearing up for the big event, which will take her through iconic landmarks like the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, and Canary Wharf before finishing at Buckingham Palace. Robson admitted that training has been 'brutal' and she's struggling to maintain motivation now that she's back home. With her sights set on a sub-3:40 finish, she's focusing on carb-loading and staying hydrated. Despite the challenges, Robson is looking forward to the electric atmosphere of the marathon and is running to support the Give It Your Max charity, which provides free tennis lessons and support to kids in schools.
