Ben Woolliss Set for Sky Sports Return After Electrifying ONE Debut
Following his remarkable debut in ONE Championship, British fighter Ben Woolliss is slated to return to the ring on May 16, with the event being broadcast live on Sky Sports. Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing match at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. This highly anticipated bout will see Woolliss, who has overcome long-term health issues, pitted against a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion. Having made his promotional debut just last month, Woolliss took on former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker on short notice and emerged victorious with a spectacular one-round stoppage. Lineker, known for his formidable punching power, was defeated by Woolliss's damaging low kicks. The main event on May 16 will feature Chinese star Tang Kai as he defends his ONE featherweight MMA world title against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. With a near-flawless record, Gasanov poses a significant threat to Kai, leveraging his stand-up arsenal, grappling, and submission expertise to overwhelm opponents.
