Hollie Doyle's Newmarket Preview: Derby Hopeful Wareeth Takes Center Stage

Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle is set to compete at Newmarket's Craven meeting, with a key ride on promising Derby contender Wareeth in the Listed Feilden Stakes. This week, Doyle's standout mount, Wareeth, trained by Archie Watson, will participate in the Listed Feilden Stakes, a significant test for the colt. Wareeth, a son of Sea The Stars, will be racing over an extra furlong, which is expected to suit him, following his impressive 14-length victory in a novice race at Newcastle. Although Wareeth does not currently hold a Derby entry, his performance has been delightful since his debut. Doyle had the opportunity to ride him last week and felt positive about his potential. However, it will be after this second start that a more accurate assessment can be made. Aidan O'Brien's Isaac Newton, who has a Derby entry and an official rating of 106, poses a significant challenge, having already won his maiden at Goodwood and finished fourth in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Another notable contender, Poseidon's Warrior, trained by Godolphin, will also be participating in the Feilden Stakes. Both Wareeth and Poseidon's Warrior are entered in the traditional Derby trial, the Group 2 Dante at York. Doyle will also be riding Heather Main's sprinter Zoulu Chief in the Weatherbys With Venatour Racing Handicap. Zoulu Chief has shown promising form, including a win at Wolverhampton and a good battle against Completely Random at Lingfield Park. Approaching his prime at five years old, he appears to be a strong 90 horse. Doyle has also worked with Jane Chapple-Hyam's outsider Harlequin Breeze and believes she has a place in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes. Despite being a maiden after three starts, Harlequin Breeze has shown improvement and determination. Impossible Mission will need to prove himself on turf, receiving weight from his rivals in the National Stud Handicap. John Butler's three-year-old has made a winning handicap debut under Neil Callan at Wolverhampton. Lady Fizz, a debutant trained by Des Donovan, will face fillies from powerful yards in the Molson Coors British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. On Thursday, Doyle will ride Marco Botti's Shergar Cup winner Prince Of India in the Zyn Abernant Stakes. Prince Of India is a powerfully built colt who could be a force in stakes sprints. The race appears to be wide-open, but Prince Of India should be well-prepared after a creditable comeback in the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes. Doyle is expecting a strong performance from Hawk Mountain, a Group 1 winner, in the Group 3 Betway Craven Stakes. Another favorite of Doyle's, Karl Burke's Boiling Point, will return to turf in the Group 3 Betway Earl Of Sefton Stakes, aiming to establish himself as a genuine Pattern performer this season.
