Conor Benn Secures Unanimous Decision Victory Over Regis Prograis

Conor Benn emerged victorious against former world champion Regis Prograis with a unanimous decision win, 98-92 on all three judges' scorecards, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Following the bout, Prograis announced his retirement. Benn, who had previously fought Chris Eubank Jr at this venue, competed at a 150lb catchweight, having moved down from middleweight. Prograis, a skilled two-time world champion at super-lightweight, put up a good fight despite being in the twilight of his career and moving up in weight. He exploited holes in Benn's defense, landing several shots to the head and body. However, Benn's youthful energy and relentless aggression ultimately paid off, as he swung freely with hooks and drove blows into Prograis' trunk. Benn staggered Prograis with a one-two combination at the end of the first round and continued to apply pressure throughout the fight. Prograis showed resilience, having only been beaten by top fighters Josh Taylor, Devin Haney, and Jack Catterall prior to this bout. In the end, Benn's cuts and injuries didn't hinder him, as he chopped down Prograis with hard right and left hooks to secure the win. In another notable fight, Richard Riakporhe became a two-time British champion by defeating Jeamie TKV in five rounds. Riakporhe launched a booming right to trouble TKV early on and eventually took control of the contest. A clubbing right sent TKV to the canvas, and Riakporhe finished the fight with a series of powerful blows. Riakporhe expressed his desire to challenge for the world title, eyeing a potential fight against the winner of Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois. Justis Huni edged out Frazer Clarke on a majority decision in their 10-round heavyweight clash, with one judge scoring it a draw. Despite the loss, Clarke emerged with credit, having pushed Huni close. Clarke showed improvement under new trainer Joe Gallagher, but Huni's hand speed proved to be the difference. Huni whipped in his rapid left and varied his work well from the head to the body, securing the win.
