Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three runners to Hexham for the National Hunt action on Monday. Jamesieconn will be competing in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, seeking a fourth consecutive win for the in-form Richards team. Having shown a liking for the three-mile trip and good ground when winning at Carlisle, Jamesieconn has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100. Despite the additional weight, Danny McMenamin's mount may still rise to the challenge. Streamsforth Lad, who has placed in various races but is yet to secure a win, will also be competing. Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou, who performed well over the course and distance recently, will also be in action. Nicky Richards will also be sending out Young Getaway to make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. That One, who will be making his bow over fences, will be competing against Young Getaway. The seven-year-old's mark will be effectively reduced to 105 thanks to Jack Power's 5lbs claim. Other notable runners include Hollie Doyle's mount Albasheer, and Grant Wood, who has been successful on his two recent visits to Gosforth Park. Wicket Keeper, who has won twice over six furlongs, will also be competing, while Paddy's Day will be wearing a tongue-tie for the first time. Gardener, who won cosily over the course and distance last time out, will return for the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.
