Inside McIlroy's Exclusive Masters Dinner: Menu, Guests, and More

The Masters Club, also known as the Champions Dinner, is an annual tradition at Augusta National, where past winners of the Green Jacket and the current Masters chairman gather. This year, Rory McIlroy will host the dinner for the first time, following his win last year. As the reigning champion, McIlroy has the privilege of setting the menu and drinks list for the event. The dinner will feature a variety of dishes and wines, each with a special significance to McIlroy. The menu includes bacon-wrapped dates, yellowfin tuna carpaccio, wagyu filet mignon, and seared salmon, accompanied by 'traditional Irish Champ' and other sides. The wine list features expensive options, including the 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild, which McIlroy drank the night he won The Masters. The cost of hosting the meal falls to the defending champion, but McIlroy is happy to take on the expense. The Champions Dinner is a unique experience, where past champions share stories and reminisce about their time at The Masters. This year's event will be attended by multiple major winners, including Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson. Unfortunately, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be absent due to personal reasons. McIlroy is looking forward to hosting the dinner and hopes everyone will enjoy the evening. The Masters will be broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports, with live coverage of the first round beginning on Thursday from 2pm on Sky Sports Golf.
